Hell Food Dinner #2

Sunday, April 23rd, 2006

Tonight my wonderful fiancee Kelly made us dinner. I had:

1 large slice of homemade bread
1.5 Boca burgers
1 pickle
4 oz of mushrooms
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons ketchup

The Boca burger and mushrooms were fried up using olive oil and garlic. Then, the burger and mushrooms are mixed together with the shreaded up bread, chopped up pickle, and condiments. It’s a great meal.

Hell Food Dinner #1

Sunday, April 23rd, 2006

Last night for dinner, I made this:

15.5 oz can of chili beans
0.5 cups black olives
1 tablespoon Frank’s Original Redhot
1 piece of pita bread
16 oz water

The amount of chili beans seems high, but during cooking a lot of that weight steams out of the meal.

Hell Food Breakfast #1

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

I’ll be posting different meals I put together in the hopes that other people might try them. I will attempt to keep this up for a week. At that point, I will review my menu choices and make any changes to improve the diet. Feedback, as always, is welcome.

Breakfast:

1.5 cups bran flakes
1.0 cups fat free soy milk
8 oz apple cider
16 oz water

This was eaten after I did 60 minutes of fast walking, and a half hour of mowing the lawn.

Back from Hell

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2006

My fiancee and I have been quite busy lately, but unfortunately you wouldn’t know it from this blog. I’ve been way too lax with this site. When I started this blog, I had just started to lose weight. Since I started, I’ve lost 50 pounds of useless flab and fat. I don’t think I’ve been this light since my sophmore year of high school. I have more work to do, which includes more weight and a lot of toning. This also means maintaining this website.

For tonight, I would like to include just a simple recipe I’ve been using lately:

Pita Pizza (requires a pizza stone)

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2) Take a piece of pita bread, and spread 3 tablespoons of pizza sauce on pita

3) Mix in 2 teaspoons of Franks Original Redhot into the sauce

4) Spread sun dried tomatos onto the pita

5) Spread chopped up black olives onto the pita

6) Bake for 15 minutes on the pizza stone, or until pita has desired crispiness.

Can’t get much better than this!

Recipe for SauerKraut Sandwich

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

This is a recipe I invented because I was looking for a tasty sandwich, that was healthy, low calorie and filling. This is what I came up with:

1 six inch sub roll: appox. 200 calories
4 tablespoons sauerkraut: approx. 10 calories
1 1/2 tablespoons BacosĀ®: 45 calories
1 tablespoon yellow mustard (optional): 0 calories
1 Total Serving/255 calories

This a great, healthy, vegan sandwich. I sometimes add a dill pickle to it, and call it a lunch. This sandwich has been a real enjoyment on my recent diet.
