Interesting…..A long-time employee of The Volusia County School Board, Food Services Dept., (The school’s COOK) of Volusia County, Florida, has reported to me on numerous occasions that, the MEAT they are cooking and serving to its Middle School children has “use by” dates which are over 2 years expired. ON EVERY PACKAGE.
The cooks are instructed to thaw, and boil, all the meat (particularly ‘ground beef’) before preparing it in any recipe. This practice is not limited to to meats, but also includes most ALL the food which is supplied to the school by government contracts. The USDA. Expired dairy and eggs are also used in foods which are prepared and served to this country’s CHILDREN. When will it end?
